The MAX5385EUT+T is a low power, 8bit digital to analogue converter (DAC) with 3-wire serial interface in 6 pin SOT-23 package. This device has an internal reference equal to 0.9 x VDD, it require an extremely low supply current of only 150µA (typ) and provide a buffered voltage output. It power-up at zero code and remain there until a new code is written to the DAC registers. It provides additional safety for applications that drive valves or other transducers that need to be off on power-up. This device is used in automatic tuning (VCO), power amplifier bias control, programmable threshold levels, automatic gain control and automatic offset adjustment.
- Supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Maximum supply current is 230µA at No load (VDD = +2.7V to +5.5V)
- Maximum supply current is 1µA at shutdown mode (VDD = +2.7V to +5.5V)
- Software-selectable output resistance during shutdown
- Buffered output drives resistive loads, low-glitch power-on reset to zero DAC output
- 3-wire SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE compatible interface
- Maximum INL/DNL is <lt/> ±1LSB, full-scale error is <lt/> ±5% at code =255, no load
- Three low-current shutdown modes, full-scale error is <lt/> ±5%
- Offset error temperature coefficient is 1ppm/°C
