MAX14933ASE+ is a two-channel, 2.75kV I²C isolator. This device transfers digital signals between circuits with different power domains at ambient temperatures upto +125°C. This device offers two bidirectional, open-drain channels for applications, such as I²C, that require data to be transmitted in both directions on the same line. This device features independent 2.25V to 5.5V supplies on each side of the isolator. This device operates from DC to 1.7MHz and can be used in isolated I²C busses with clock stretching. It is used in applications such as I²C, SMBus, PMBus™ interfaces, power supplies, battery management, instrumentation.
- Robust galvanic isolation of digital signals, withstands 2.75kVRMS for 60s (VISO)
- Continuously withstands 445VRMS (VIOWM), 630VPEAK repetitive peak voltage (VIORM)
- Withstands ±10kV surge per IEC 61000-4-5, <gt/>30 years lifetime at rated working voltage
- Interfaces directly with most micros and FPGAs, accepts 2.25V to 5.5V supplies
- Supply current is 6mA typical at (VDDA = 5V, side A, all channels DC or 1.7MHz)
- Leakage current is +1µA maximum at (I/OA- = VDDA, I/OB- = VDDB)
- Input capacitance is 5pF typical at (I/OA-, I/OB-, f = 1MHz, TA = +25°C)
- Frequency is 1.7MHz maximum at (VDDA - VGNDA = +2.25V to +5.5V)
- Propagation delay is 20ns typical at (4.5V ≤ VDDA,VDDB ≤ 5.5V)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 16-lead narrow SOIC package
