LTC1754-3.3 is a micropower charge pump DC/DC converter that produces a regulated output. Extremely low operating current and a low external parts count (one flying capacitor and two small bypass capacitors at VIN and VOUT) make the device ideally suited for small, battery-powered applications. It operates as a Burst Mode™ switched capacitor voltage doubler to produce a regulated output. It has thermal shutdown capability and can survive a continuous short circuit from VOUT to GND. It is widely used in application such as SIM interface supplies for GSM cellular telephones, white LED power supplies, Li-Ion battery backup supplies, handheld computers, smart card readers, PCMCIA local 5V supplies etc.
- Input supply voltage is 2V to 4.4V
- Operating supply current is 11µA typical at (2.0V ≤ VIN ≤ 4.4V, IOUT = 0mA, SHDN = VIN)
- Output ripple is 23mVP-P typical at (VIN = 2.5V, IOUT = 40mA)
- Efficiency is 82% typical at (VIN = 2.0V, IOUT = 20mA)
- Switching frequency is 600KHz typical
- Shutdown disconnects load from VIN, output voltage is 3.3V
- Ultra small application circuit
- Short-circuit and overtemperature protected
- Very low shutdown current is 1µA maximum at (VIN ≤ 3.6V, IOUT = 0mA, VSHDN = 0V)
- Operating temperature is -40°C to 85°C, package style is 6-lead plastic SOT-23
