The ICM7212AMIPL+ is a four digit display decoder/driver in 40 pin DIP package. The four digit 7-segment display LED driver includes input data latches, BCD to segment decoder, all level translation and timing circuits needed to drive non multiplexed displays. It is a microprocessor interface type data input configuration that has four BCD data inputs, two digit address lines and two chip selects or write inputs. The LED display driver reduces system cost by eliminating external level translators, external segment drivers and segment current limiting resistors. Typical applications include intelligent instruments, digital panel displays, remote display units and microprocessor to visual communication.
