The DS1501YZ+ is a Y2K compliant watchdog real time clock (RTC) in 28 pin WSOIC package. It is a low power clock/date device with a programmable day of week/date alarm and it has 5V operation. This full function, year 2000 compliant real time clock/calendar contains RTC alarm, watchdog timer, precision power-on reset, battery monitors, 256byte battery backed NV SRAM and 32.768KHz output. User access to all registers within the DS1501 is accomplished with bytewide interface. The RTC registers includes BCD coded century, year, month, date, day, hours, minutes and seconds with automatic leap year compensation valid up to the year 2100 (corrections for day of month and leap year are made automatically). Power control circuitry supports system power-on from date/day/time alarm or key closure/modem detect signal. The DS1501 is used in remote systems, battery backed systems, telecom switches and office equipments.
