ADM3310E is a 15kV ESD protected, 2.7 V to 3.6V serial port transceivers with green idle. It feature an on-board charge pump dc-to-dc converter, eliminating the need for dual power supplies. This dc-to-dc converter contains a voltage tripler and a voltage inverter that internally generates positive and negative supplies from the input 3V power supply. The dc-to-dc converter operates in green idle™ mode, whereby the charge pump oscillator is gated on and off to maintain the output voltage at ±7.25V under varying load conditions. This minimizes the power consumption and makes ideal for battery-powered portable devices. It is widely used in application such as mobile phone handsets/data cables, laptop and notebook computers, printers, peripherals, modems, PDAs/hand-held devices/palmtop computers.

- Full RS-232 compliance
- 460kb/s data rate, supply current is 0.85mA at (VCC = 2.7V to 3.6V; no load)
- One receiver active in shutdown, output voltage swing is ±5.0V at (VCC = 3.0V)
- Slew rate is 18V/µs at (RL = 3Kohm, CL = 50pF to 1000pF1)
- Operating temperature range is −40°C to +85°C
- Packaging style is 28-lead TSSOP 7”
