ADIS16485 is a tactical grade, six degrees of freedom inertial sensor. It is an iSensor® device and completes inertial system that includes a triaxial gyroscope and a triaxial accelerometer. Each inertial sensor in the device combines industry-leading iMEMS® technology with signal conditioning that optimizes dynamic performance. The factory calibration characterizes each sensor for sensitivity, bias, alignment, and linear acceleration (gyroscope bias). As a result, each sensor has its own dynamic compensation formulas that provide accurate sensor measurements. It provides a simple, cost-effective method for integrating accurate, multiaxis inertial sensing into industrial systems, especially when compared with the complexity and investment associated with discrete designs. It is used in application such as platform stabilization and control, navigation, personnel tracking, instruments, robotics etc.
- Dynamic range (gyroscope) is ±480°/sec max at (TA = 25°C)
- Misalignment (gyroscope) is ±0.05° typ at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 3.3V)
- In-run bias stability (gyroscope) is 6.25°/hr typ at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 3.3V)
- Angular random walk (gyroscope) is 0.3°/√hr typ at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 3.3V)
- Dynamic range (accelerometer) is ±5g min at (TA = 25°C, VDD = 3.3V)
- Triaxial, delta angle, and delta velocity outputs, fast start-up time is 500ms
- Factory calibrated sensitivity, bias, and axial alignment, SPI-compatible serial interface
- Embedded temperature sensor, programmable operation and control
- Automatic and manual bias correction controls, single-supply operation is 3V to 3.6V
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +105°C, package style is 24-lead module with connector interface
