ADF5355 is a microwave wideband synthesizer with integrated VCO. This implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. The wideband microwave VCO design permits frequency operation from 6.8GHz to 13.6GHz at one radio frequency (RF) output. In addition, the VCO frequency is connected to divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuits that allow the user to generate RF output frequencies as low as 54MHz. For applications that require isolation, the RF output stage can be muted. The mute function is both pin and software controllable. Application includes wireless infrastructure (W-CDMA, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, GSM, PCS, DCS, DECT), point to point/point to multipoint microwave links, satellites/VSATs, test equipment/instrumentation, clock generation.

- Reference frequency operation to 600MHz, low phase noise, voltage controlled oscillator (VCO)
- Analog and digital power supplies is 3.3V, typ charge pump and VCO power supplies is 5V
- Logic compatibility is 1.8V, programmable output power level
- RF output mute function, analogue and digital lock detect
- Doubler enabled is 100MHz (doubler is set in register 4, bit DB26)
- Typical supply current is 70mA (IVCO, AVDD=DVDD=VRF=3.3V ± 5%, 4.75V ≤ VP=VVCO ≤ 5.25V)
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
- 32-lead frame chip scale package [LFCSP]
