AD9984A is a complete 10bit, 170MSPS, monolithic analogue interface optimized for capturing YPbPr video and RGB graphics signals. Its 170MSPS encode rate capability and full power analogue bandwidth of 300MHz support all HDTV video modes upto 1080p, as well as graphics resolutions upto UXGA (1600 × 1200 at 60Hz). It includes a 170MHz triple ADC with an internal reference, a PLL, and programmable gain, offset, and clamp control. The user provides only a 1.8V power supply and an analogue input. Three-state CMOS outputs can be powered from 1.8V to 3.3V. This device's on-chip PLL generates a sample clock from the tri-level sync (for YPbPr video) or the horizontal sync (for RGB graphics). It is used in applications such as advanced TVs, plasma display panels, LCDTV, HDTV, RGB graphics processing, LCD monitors and projectors, scan converters.

- Syncs per Vsync counter, sync-on-green (SOG) pulse filter
- Integral nonlinearity is ±2.35LSB typical at (VD = 1.8V, VDD = 3.3V)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.7LSB typical at (VD = 1.8V, VDD = 3.3V)
- Operating temperature is 0°C to 70°C, package style is 64-lead LFCSP
